 How to join your session

Set up your audio and video

The first time you join a Collaborate Ultra session you will be prompted to setup audio and video. These settings will remain until you clear your browser cache on that device.

  1. Join your web conference session.
  2. You must give the browser permission to use audio and video to participate in the session. Select Allow for both options if prompted.
  3. You will first see the Microphone setup. Speak clearly into your microphone and ensure the bar is moving. If not, make sure you have the right device selected from the dropdown.
  4. Once you have the right device selected, Collaborate will tell you that you sound great when receiving audio. Select Yes – It's working.
  5. Choose the camera you wish to use. Collaborate tells you that you look great when it's receiving your video feed. Select Yes – It's working.

Additional information

You may need to change your microphone or switch between front and rear facing cameras. You can change your audio or video settings during a session.
  1. In your session, open the Collaborate panel.
  2. Select My Settings.
  3. Select Set up your camera and microphone.
  4. Follow the setup prompts.
