The Learning Place Affiliate program has provided many opportunities for Queensland non-state schools and universities to create, collaborate and network in the Learning Place, the Department of Education's trusted online learning environment for the past 19 years.
The Department of Education is currently in the process of replacing the Learning Place with QLearn, a more modern, flexible and integrated learning management platform that will help achieve our vision for a digital future.
QLearn is an online ecosystem underpinned by a learning management system called Canvas where users can create and manage courses, lessons, assessment and resources.
The journey to rollout QLearn is well underway and we are planning to go-live in July 2022. As such, the Learning Place Affiliate program is planned to cease in December 2022.
Once QLearn is fully implemented the Department will reconsider the Affiliate program and we will provide details late 2022.
Learning Place Affiliation is an annual subscription offering Queensland non-state schools and universities opportunities to learn, teach, create, collaborate, discover and network in the Learning Place.
To become a Learning Place Affiliate Subscriber, you must represent a legal entity who can enter into contractual arrangements on behalf of either a:

Queensland primary or secondary school, accredited by the Non-State School Accreditation Board.
